Chuck Hagel

30 11 2003

Chuck Hagel is one Republican Senator who has been strong enough to break from the pack and address the major expansion of government currently underway by a supposedly conservative administration. 21% growth in federal spending over the last three years, and ballooning deficits that you and I will be paying for beyond our death.

Conservative?

Nice to know we elected a conservative… I’m not implying Bush is entirely to blame — he deserves much of it — but the Congress should have way more courage, and stand up to this madness.

Absolutely the coolest halloween threads ever…. Just check out Pic 1, Pic 2, and Pic 3. A literal chick magnet. Actually, it’s just a people magnet. But I’m much nicer to the girls. Even on Halloween night, it was a total standout… some interesting quotes from actual people:

  • “I’ve never seen anything like that in my fucking life.”
  • “That is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.”
  • “How do you have a jacket like that?”
  • “The hands-down best costume ever.”
  • “It must be something new.”

Due to the remarkable popularity of this thing, I am now desperately seeking non-Halloween excuses to wear it. Suggestions welcome. The material is by a company called Luminex and the jacket was custom-cut by a New York designer named Zuzka for Pop!Tech 2003.
