i agree with your points, and would offer that this is the best thing that could possibly happen to america at this time … it brings many long-time hidden things to the surface … it gives a chance to redefine “value” … it offers a chance to redefine the meaning of what it is to be a productive human …

and to be honest, america, and americans, have shown no willingness to change anything about how they live or think …. this “crisis” gives an opportunity to do that.

i also see something called “collective consciousness”, and in that arena i do not yet see truly mature thinking showing up in the populace at large … so, do not be surprised if circumstances continue to show up that create more chaos, including who is elected to the presidency … because i think more chaos is necessary before the population will actually live differently, in many categories, from energy use, lifestyle, economic decisions, international relations …. etc. etc. etc..
