[Surfed on in from Dave Farber's Interesting-People (IP) Mail List.] It looks as though the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld administration is getting rid of all the decent, non-fanatic personnel and replacing them with hard-core line-toers who will carry the intended coup d’etat through with jackboot precision until they all swing from the gallows at Nuremberg.

How could we work together? I only know one female CIA employee who would consider posing for your photography, but she’s special. Nearly 6 ft. tall, extraordinary David Bowie-ish face, mid ’50’s, thin yet shapely. Still has the skin tone, as I can attest, for I’ve seen her naked numerous times – I believe she might go for it.

My actual entre to ‘The Cosmic Trap’ (pun intended) is KGB.com, which publishes lots of Classified Covert Comic quotes.

And, speaking of Cosmic Taps, let’s not forget The Covert Comic’s legendary book of ‘tap secret’ poety, ‘Black Matters.’ You wanna read a Langley insider’s Cosmic Tap-friendly view of the intel powers that be? Black Matters is it.

In somewhat oversimplified form:

1. The first clause of the Fourth Amendment does establish the standard, and that standard is “unreasonable,” which term is left, apparently, to the courts to decide.

2. The second clause of the Fourth Amendment establishes the limit, and that limit is clearly spelled out. It is that “no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation.”

It is the specificity of that second clause which has forced this administration — and who knows which others — to seek out complacent jurists, to fabricate rationale, to forge and back-date documents, and in final desperation to unabashedly break the law.
