Karl Rove On Pakistan
11 07 2007Mr. Rove, in answer to a question about why we are not pursuing Al-Qaeda operatives in Pakistan:
“The United States has concerns about taking unilateral action in a sovereign nation without their approval.”
So: if we’re after Al-Qaeda, then taking unilateral action within a sovereign nation is a no-no. But if we’re after Saddam Hussein, it’s cool. Is there anyone left who is drinking the same Kool-Aid they are? In a refreshing twist, the intelligence of the audience was evident: his deluded remark was met by immediate, awkward laughter.
