Odom Says Withdraw Troops or Impeach Bush
8 07 2007Lt. General William Odom - a retired three star Army General and President Reagan’s NSA chief, has been a critic of Bush for a long while. Most true conservatives are - in fact, most true thinkers are. Odom has, in the past, spoken out against Bush’s Iraq policy and their warrantless wiretapping.
But, this weekend he is sharpening his criticism - now saying that merely the approach Bush has taken with Congress in regard to military funding constitutes a high crime worthy of impeachment (I’d add: if they only had the courage.)
Odom said:
“An attempt to extort Congress into providing funds by keeping U.S. forces in peril.. surely would constitute the ‘high crime’ of squandering the lives of soldiers and Marines for his own personal interest.”
