I am fascinated how you guys cannot talk about your candidates in their own context - what few "team players" there are remaining just talk about the opposing candidates when confronting the sad reality about their own. What on earth do mistakes by other candidates have to do with the massive dearth of Palin's substance? Rather than playing gotcha - let's give Palin a real analysis.
[But if we must "compare", let's at least be intellectually honest about them. I have my issues with Biden, for sure. He supported the war in Iraq for example, and that's really hard for me to deal with. But at least he's doing interviews, and at least he has a general idea that the world is round, for example, and understands geopolitics really, really well.]
So, let's talk about Palin for a second - just Palin. Not "yeah, but Biden made a mistake one time too". Do you seriously believe Palin is a good choice? Would you have chosen her? Does she meet McCain's own standard of being "ready from day one?" If you take her as a serious person of substance - and not a cynical myth designed by the far right - then you might be the only sane person I've spoken to who does.
I guess my public education has failed me, I thought Hoover was President in 1929, and FDR made speeches via radio because Television hadn't been invented in 1929...
