Ok, who really flippin' cares about the elicit drug use and whether it is true or not. What Americans truly need to know about is who is better suited and experienced to run our awesome country. It all boils down to that...not race, not gender, not things people did in college that weren't so "mom-pleasing." Everyone has a few skeletons. So when the major media outlets pull their heads out of the collective rears and realize that being biased one way or another is STUPID (I was in media for 17 years)...maybe us voters will be able to truly know the candidates. I, for one, wouldn't vote for Obama if he were the only one on the ticket. He is a smooth-talking puppet and we can't see the strings. He has no true experience and really doesn't have a plan...anything he is talking about was handed to him by those pulling the strings. If it were maybe another four years down the road, I believe he might have enough experience. But as it stands, he is the least experienced.

Meanwhile, it appears that Americans have very short memories and are really confused about the term "change" - every candidate that throws that into the race seems to get elected, and then they fail at all of their promises. Take one look at the race a few years ago against George Nethercutt and House Speaker Tom Foley. It was a time when the word "change" was thrown around, and "term limits" were the hot topic. George promised to stay for two terms, but went back on his word and ran for several. Washington State lost the third most powerful politician in the country and voters there are still hurting from it. So people, wake up and actually do your research. Don't listen to the media, because obviously this is a different age - one where being biased is okay as long as it gets you ratings. Take a long, hard look at which candidate has the most experience and can do the best job not only here in America, but across the world, in leading us into a better tomorrow.

I have written Joe s. and Chris M. about this very issue and pleased to discover that I am not the only one asking. Her last letter in the pen pal series in which she describes herself sitting at a stolen table in dirty bell bottoms, etc., tells me, as one who was at a university in the Sixties, that she either experienced mind-altering substances or was the biggest hypocrite of her time. Both are possible.
